Job description

The Movable Bridge Business Unit of Modjeski and Masters is seeking a CAD Technician with 0-4 years of experience. This position is primarily based in Mechanicsburg, PA; Philadelphia, PA; or Fort Lauderdale, FL. Alternative locations may be considered on a case-to-case basis including fully remote.
What We're Looking For
  • 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience is preferred, not required
    • Entry level with no experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD drafting software
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software (Preferred)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
  • Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Drafting and Design (Preferred)
What You'll Do
  • Assist with the development of 3D design models
  • Draft plans and detailed drawings for transportation projects such as bridges and highways, working from discussions, sketches, or notes
  • Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures
  • Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to develop contract plans
  • Correlate and interpret data obtained from topographical surveys and borings reports
  • Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods
  • Maintain technically current methodologies
  • Acquire and apply new knowledge to assignments and tasks
  • Calculate Pay Item quantities
  • Perform additional tasks, assignment, duties, assigned
