We partner with leading credit unions, banks, and technology providers across North America to design, build, and operate secure, scalable digital platforms.

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who enjoys solving complex cloud infrastructure challenges, automating everything possible, and helping clients modernize their Azure environments.

You'll work alongside architects, developers, QA engineers, security specialists, and client technology teams to build resilient cloud platforms supporting millions of users.

About the Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll design, automate, deploy, and operate secure Azure cloud environments supporting enterprise digital banking platforms and cloud-native applications.

This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong expertise in Azure networking, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, cloud security, observability, and platform engineering. You'll also mentor other engineers and help clients improve their cloud maturity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and support hybrid cloud networking using Virtual Networks, Hub-and-Spoke, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, DNS, and Azure routing services.

  • Design and maintain cloud-native networking standards and reference architectures.

  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar technologies.

  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.

  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.

  • Implement cloud governance, landing zones, Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault, and security guardrails.

  • Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions.

  • Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, or similar platforms.

  • Analyze production telemetry to identify trends, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and improve platform reliability.

  • Support cloud operations, production deployments, release management, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.

  • Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, code reviews, and infrastructure reviews.

  • Produce clear technical documentation including architecture diagrams, deployment processes, network topology, and operational runbooks.

  • Mentor engineers and promote DevOps, automation, security, and cloud engineering best practices.

  • Occasionally participate in after-hours production deployments or critical incident support.

Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud operations.

  • Strong experience designing, deploying, and operating Microsoft Azure environments.

  • Deep knowledge of Azure networking, including:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.

  • Strong scripting experience using PowerShell (preferred), Azure CLI, Bash, or Python.

  • Experience deploying and supporting production cloud environments.

  • Experience implementing cloud governance, security controls, identity management, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery practices including Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps principles.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.

  • Experience working in distributed consulting or remote engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Backbase, Forge, VeriPark, Fiserv, Temenos, or similar financial technology platforms.

  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker, or container networking.

  • Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise cloud governance.

  • Experience implementing observability platforms and centralized telemetry.

  • Experience integrating security into Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with ITIL or enterprise service management practices.

  • Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or AZ-700.

  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar.
