Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Country Manager to oversee and grow our operations in Brazil. The Country Manager will be responsible for leading commercial, operational, and strategic activities within the market while driving sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, distributor performance, and customer engagement. This role requires strong business acumen, deep knowledge of the Brazilian healthcare and orthopedic market, and the ability to execute strategic initiatives aligned with regional objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Mizuho OSI's business strategy in Brazil aligned with regional objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth, market penetration, and strategic account development.
  • Lead capital equipment and consumables growth initiatives.
  • Build and manage robust sales pipelines across key product segments.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to increase market share.
  • Manage distributor performance, accountability, and KPI execution.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with distributors, hospitals, surgeons, and key stakeholders.
  • Support clinical education programs, workshops, and industry congress participation.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Represent Mizuho OSI in external forums, industry events, and customer engagements.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic insights to regional leadership regarding market trends, opportunities, and business performance.
  • Optimize operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Understand Mizuho OSI's business objectives and the relationship between the Department and those objectives; to support and follow the Corporate Vision, Mission & Values Statements, to maintain the services and quality levels set by Mizuho OSI, and to continually enable Mizuho OSI to be a great place to work.
  • Understand, follow and support Mizuho OSI's internal Quality System policies, procedures and work instructions including but not limited to applicable external regulations (21 Code of Federal Regulations Part 820 Quality System Regulations and applicable International Standards).

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • More than eight (8) years of progressive leadership experience within medical devices, orthopedics, or healthcare industries.
  • Strong understanding of Brazilian healthcare market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use Microsoft Office 365 particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset and with customer-centric approach.
  • Strong negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional operational and commercial excellence.
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn new processes quickly.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical decision-making skills.
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, and the ability to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments.
  • Ability to thrive, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced and multicultural environment.
  • Ability to display positive teamwork across business functions and interdepartmentally. A high level of collaboration and communication is essential in a team environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally approximately 70%, including some international travel and occasional weekend commitments.

 

Base Salary is $75,000 USD + quarterly bonuses with OTE at $110,000 USD
