Build Relationships. Win Market Share. Grow a Premier Brand.
SPAX® is one of the fastest-growing premium fastening brands in North America. We are seeking a driven sales professional who understands the building materials industry and knows how to grow business through lumberyards, building material dealers, distributors, and professional contractors.
If you have built relationships with dealer owners, branch managers, outside sales representatives, contractor customers, and understand how the professional building products channel operates, we want to talk with you.
This is more than an account management role-it is an opportunity to own an entire state, develop new business, strengthen channel partnerships, and make a measurable impact on the growth of one of the industry's most respected brands.
Why This Role Matters
The Area Sales Manager plays a critical role in expanding SPAX® market share across Michigan's professional construction channels. This position is responsible for developing new business, strengthening distribution partnerships, increasing contractor adoption, and growing SPAX's presence within lumberyards, building material dealers, distributors, and professional construction markets.
Success in this role directly impacts revenue growth, customer relationships, brand awareness, and the long-term strength of the SPAX® brand throughout Michigan.

  • Expand SPAX® brand presence within independent lumberyards, STAFDA distributors, building product distributors, and professional contractor channels
  • Identify market opportunities and translate insights into actionable growth strategies
  • Strengthen SPAX® competitive positioning through product advocacy and customer engagement
  • Provide market intelligence to Sales Leadership, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations teams

  • Converting contractors and end users through product demonstrations, training, and field engagement
  • Supporting distributor and dealer partners with sales enablement, product education, and field support
  • Building long-term relationships with owners, branch managers, outside sales representatives, and counter teams

Field Activation & Product Advocacy
As a SPAX® brand ambassador, you will:
  • Conduct jobsite demonstrations and product training sessions
  • Communicate product performance advantages and installation benefits
  • Support regional promotions, product launches, and marketing initiatives
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and contractor engagement activities
  • Create awareness and demand for SPAX® products within professional construction channels

Market Intelligence & Business Insight
You will help shape our growth strategy by:
  • Providing feedback on pricing, competitive activity, product needs, and market trends
  • Analyzing territory performance and identifying opportunities to improve market penetration
  • Sharing customer and market insights with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to refine strategies and improve execution
