Job Summary
The Patricia Musolino Laboratory in the Center for Genomic Medicine (CGM) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.
Our research group, The Musolino Laboratory at the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, is a translational neuroscience laboratory focused on developing gene-targeted therapies for inherited cerebrovascular disorders that lead to stroke and leukodystrophy, and is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate to join our research group.
Summary
Act as independent scientists who while consulting with their PI, undertake and execute a program of scientific study culminating in publication.

Essential Functions
-Must be capable of independent scientific work in consultation with the PI, including the planning, execution, and publication of scientific projects.
-Operation of experimental equipment relevant to the presentation of acoustic stimulation and measurement of physiologic responses.
-Programming skills for experimental control and analysis of physiological and acoustic data.
-Preparation of scientific publications.
-Presentation of experimental results at national and international meetings.
-Assists in the preparation of grants submitted by his supervising Principal Investigator.

Master's Degree Related Field of Study required or Doctorate Related Field of Study preferred

Experience
Experience in scientific investigation and reporting and a demonstration that they are capable of independent scientific work (e.g. first-author publications) 5-7 years required

- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.
- Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and lead research teams.

- Collecting and analyzing complex data.
- Excellent research skills and experience with archival research are a plus.
