What are remote board game jobs?

Remote board game jobs refer to positions within the board game industry that can be performed from any location, rather than requiring work in a physical office. These jobs can include roles such as game design, playtesting, rulebook editing, digital adaptation, marketing, and customer support. Remote board game professionals often collaborate with teams via online platforms to develop, test, and promote board games. This setup allows for flexible scheduling and can offer opportunities to work with international teams or publishers.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote board game designer?

To thrive as a Remote Board Game Designer, you need a solid background in game design principles, creativity, and familiarity with board game mechanics, often supported by a degree in game design or related fields. Experience with digital prototyping tools, graphic design software, and virtual collaboration platforms is typically required. These abilities are crucial for creating engaging, well-balanced games and ensuring smooth collaboration in a remote work environment.
