Job Summary

Spara is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead a team of MPMs supporting key supply chain activities for one of our premier missile defense programs. This high-impact, role in requires a self-motivated leader with strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a deep understanding of supply chain management in a matrixed, fast-paced environment.

As the primary interface between Supply Chain and the Program Team, you will develop and implement Material Program Strategies that ensure seamless product deliveryfrom early acquisition planning through contract closeout. This position demands advanced knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP), subcontract management, proposal development, customer negotiations, and team leadership.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and Manage MPM Team: Oversee and mentor a team of Material Program Managers responsible for executing procurement, supplier management, and logistics functions across all programs.
  • Develop Material Strategies: Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Production Control, and IPTs to build and execute material strategies aligned with program cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Program Execution Oversight: Monitor and drive program material performance, addressing risks and constraints, and presenting supply chain status updates to program and customer leadership.
  • Supplier Management: Support supplier negotiations, issue purchase orders, and manage subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, etc.).
  • Proposal & Cost Management: Lead material estimating efforts, prepare basis of estimates (BOEs), generate Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs), and support program reviews and gate reviews.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage Earned Value (EV), working capital, forecasts, and Estimates at Completion (EACs). May serve as Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Resolve issues across internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Support MRP and Master Data Processes: Ensure accuracy and timeliness of MRP scheduling and master data maintenance.
  • Travel: Domestic and international travel may be required (estimated <30%).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, production control, procurement, or related fields; OR an advanced degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program cost, schedule, and supplier performance in a complex program environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting Prime Contract requirements and developing Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Experience using supply chain planning tools such as SAP, Kinaxis, or equivalent systems.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
