Job description

As a Senior Data Analyst on the Marketing Channel Insights team, you will tackle complex marketing data challenges and generate actionable insights that improve the effectiveness of owned marketing channels. You will analyze large-scale marketing and customer engagement datasets to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities that inform channel strategy and campaign optimization. This role plays a key part in evaluating channel performance, measuring campaign impact, and informing data-driven decisions that improve customer engagement and marketing outcomes.

A day in the life as a Senior Data Analyst, Marketing Channel Insights..

  • Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of owned marketing channel performance, including email, SMS, push notifications, direct mail, and in-app messaging

  • Identify, interpret, and communicate key trends, patterns, and anomalies in marketing performance datasets to inform channel strategy and campaign optimization

  • Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations that support marketing and customer engagement decision

  • Evaluate campaign performance using attribution methodologies and marketing measurement frameworks

  • Analyze customer engagement across marketing touchpoints to understand channel contribution and campaign effectiveness

  • Develop analytical approaches to measure cross-channel performance and marketing impact

  • Design and implement rigorous experimentation frameworks such as A/B tests and holdout groups to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channel strategies

  • Analyze experimental results to quantify incremental impact and inform optimization strategies

  • Design, implement, and optimize complex SQL queries and analytical tables to support marketing performance analysis and reporting

  • Develop scalable analytical datasets that support campaign measurement, experimentation, and channel performance analysis

  • Develop dashboards and interactive visualizations that communicate marketing performance insights to stakeholders

  • Translate analytical findings into clear narratives that support data-driven marketing decisions

  • Work closely with CRM, marketing, and operations teams to understand campaign objectives and analytical requirements

  • Partner with data engineering teams to ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and reliability of marketing data used for analysis

  • Create and maintain documentation for analytical methodologies, datasets, and campaign measurement frameworks to ensure transparency and reproducibility

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and optimization across large datasets

  • Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) for building dashboards and communicating analytical insights

  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics principles, including campaign measurement, attribution, and customer engagement metrics

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimentation methods, including hypothesis testing and A/B testing

  • Experience with Python or R for advanced analysis, data mining, and feature engineering

  • Strong data storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to present complex analytical findings to diverse audiences
