Job description

Planet Technologies, the Nation's leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as a Business Analyst. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that benefit our country.
 
The BA will accomplish this through research-gathering and data analysis, presenting a range of data-driven solutions, and thereafter implementing those solutions and optimizations using analytics tools and technologies.  Requires the ability to be the liaison between IT and business leadership of the company/customer while enhancing the quality and execution of IT services provided by Planet.  Working knowledge of the suite of M365 Cloud Solutions and the ability to clearly present to both a technical and non-technical audience.
Responsibilities
  • Understand the business needs within an M365 environment, to bring value to on-going projects or implementations while helping to direct and support the delivery team execute the agreed upon services. 
  • Build and deliver polished executive documentation including business requirement documents, user guides, onboarding instructions and other artifacts related to operating on O365 environment. 
  • They will be conducting interviews with the customer as well as attending workshops/meetings with Planet SMEs to prepare and update the required documentation for the project.
  • Gather and document functional and user experience requirements (stakeholder analysis - Identify and analyze stakeholders who may be impacted by the change and access their impact, participation, and needs throughout the business analysis activities)
  • Assist in expanding Planet's portfolio to standardized offerings through the development and documentation of case studies, and playbooks that can be provided to prospects
Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in supporting Information Technology projects; Bachelor's Degree with preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (O365) to manage projects and communicate with stakeholders.  
  • Experience integrating AI technologies into daily work activity to improve outcomes and efficiencies
  • Should have the knowledge to be proficient in inventing processes or systems needed to implement changes and have complex problem-solving skills
  • Develop innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes, which is a business analyst's primary role
  • Understand the business domain and specific problems that software is targeting and use an adaptive approach (learning, discovery, feedback loop) to decision making
  • Previous experience creating and delivering executive level presentations as well as polished, detailed requirements documents.
  • Should be able to produce a RACI matrix - Responsible, Accountable (approving the results), consulted (providing input) or informed of the completed item after it has been completed. 
  • Develop UI wireframes and functional workflows, as needed
  • Drive adoption and integration through well-planned on-boarding, integration, and knowledge transfer experience
  • Experience participating in RFP/RFI review process is a big plus
