Description

Are you ready to join a performance-driven team at the forefront of the AEC industry? We are seeking full-time Architectural AutoCAD Drafters to strengthen our CAD/BIM Production Center in Salt Lake City, Utah!

PPM is a great company to work for because after 24 years in business, we don't just create As-Built plans - we are cultivating a performance-driven culture where your contributions are measured, recognized, and celebrated. Our metrics-focused approach ensures you'll always know how you're performing and how that performance aligns with your career growth. With over 2,400 projects completed in 2025, we've built a team that thrives on precision, accountability, and continuous improvement, providing clear pathways for personal and professional development.

If you have strong AutoCAD skills, an interest in or experience with Revit, and Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry knowledge with a basic understanding of residential construction, this is your chance to build a rewarding career. You'll learn to draft using cutting-edge 3D laser scanning technology, supported by a customized training program that equips you with lifelong skills and fosters a results-driven mindset.

Join us and become part of a team that values performance, growth, and excellence, helping to redefine standards in the industry. Are you ready to make a lasting impact as an Architectural Drafter through exceptional support for every PPM employee and project?

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 1+ years of experience or a degree in the AEC industry and a passion for architecture, construction, and transforming existing structures into design-ready plans.
  • You are detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for precision and the ability to visualize 2D and 3D figures effortlessly.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure and adapting quickly when plans change.
  • You're a problem solver who focuses on solutions, not blame, and you enjoy tackling challenges behind the scenes.
  • You appreciate that this is a non-client-facing role, allowing you to focus on producing exceptional work without external distractions.
  • You are tech-savvy, experienced in AutoCAD (certification preferred) and eager to learn advanced AEC technologies like point clouds, BIM/Revit, or ArchiCAD.
  • You're a team player who values collaboration and practicing PPM's Core Values while still enjoying the focus of independent project work.
  • You're excited to be part of a company that works hard and plays hard, fostering a fun and engaging culture that values team camaraderie.

Requirements

THINGS YOU WILL DO:

This is a full-time hourly (40-hour/week) position, with overtime opportunities. Your typical week will include the following:

  • Participate in an initial 6-week AutoCAD training program, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to excel in drafting high-quality As-Built products.
  • Review and prepare point clouds, along with various support information, for drafting/modeling.
  • Draft high-quality As-Built products in AutoCAD, adhering to PPM Standards.
  • Receive internal Revit training to expand your skillset and career growth potential.
  • Plan-check drawings/models/files to ensure high-quality and clear presentation of PPM As-Built plans for every project.
  • Collaborate with surveyors, project managers, and your drafting team via email, Microsoft Teams, verbal communication, and regular meetings to ensure project completion meets or exceeds PPM's standards and client expectations.

IF SELECTED, PPM WILL OFFER YOU:

  • Base Compensation: $23-$30 per hour, depending on experience
  • Hybrid Remote Schedule after a 90-day onboarding period
  • Performance Bonuses based on individual, team, and company achievements
  • Professional Development Reimbursement Program to support your growth
  • Comprehensive Health, Vision, and Dental Coverage
  • Paid Time Off for vacation and sick leave
  • 10 Paid Holidays annually
  • Retirement Plan: 401(k) with up to 4% company match
