We are currently seeking a Shopify Architect to join our team in Dallas, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Shopify Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Shopify Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprisegrade eCommerce solutions on the Shopify platform. This role requires deep expertise across Shopify Plus, Headless Commerce, Hydrogen, Liquid, and modern web technologies, combined with strong architectural leadership to build scalable, secure, and highperforming digital commerce ecosystems.

Experience

  • 11+ years of total IT experience
  • 6+ years of handson experience within the Shopify ecosystem
  • Proven track record delivering largescale enterprise eCommerce solutions

Responsibilities

  • Lead endtoend architecture and solution design for complex Shopify and Shopify Plus implementations.
  • Define scalable, secure, maintainable, and highperformance architectures for enterprise commerce platforms.
  • Design and implement Headless Commerce solutions using Shopify Hydrogen, React, and Storefront APIs.
  • Architect and oversee development of custom Shopify themes and applications using Liquid, React.js, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks.
  • Drive integration architecture between Shopify and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment gateways, tax engines, shipping providers).
  • Lead platform migration initiatives from Magento, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce, and custom platforms to Shopify.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for performance, SEO, accessibility, security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments to ensure solution quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, UX teams, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Shopify developers and frontend engineers.
  • Support effort estimation, solution proposals, technical documentation, and presales activities.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to define CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, monitoring, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Stay current with Shopify platform enhancements, Hydrogen/Oxygen advancements, and emerging eCommerce trends.

Pay Transparency

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $95,918-$177,625. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. 

This position is eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employer contribution, flexible spending or health savings account, lifeand AD&D insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
