As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Leading individual, couple, and family therapy sessions that foster open communication, understanding, and healing.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, and relational conflicts.
• Facilitating workshops and group therapy sessions that promote mental wellness and resilience among participants.
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals and referring clients to specialists as necessary for integrated care.
• Documenting client progress and modifying treatment plans to reflect their evolving needs.
• Participating in regular supervisory meetings to discuss case review and professional development.

Our therapists work with a diverse client population, including individuals struggling with issues stemming from family dynamics, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Clients may present with a range of concerns, such as:

• Alcohol abuse and dependency.
• Experiences of physical and psychological trauma.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Current, valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Virginia.
• A deep understanding of family systems theory and various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create a warm, therapeutic alliance with clients.
