Position Summary
Jefferson Radiology is actively recruiting a Daytime Emergency Radiologist to support our growing practice in Connecticut. The ideal candidate should be comfortable interpreting studies in emergency settings including Level I trauma center studies in an urban setting. Acute inpatient studies are an important part of the total position responsibilities.
This is an excellent remote opportunity with flexible scheduling options, in a friendly and collegial section that fosters collaboration, work-life balance, and academic growth. Residents and/or Fellows are encouraged to apply.

  • Multiple schedule options for flexibility and to meet work life balance
    • Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm EST & weekend commitments
    • Swing Shift: Monday-Friday, with Flexible Hours & weekend commitments

  • Fellowship training in Body, MSK, Neuro or ER a plus
  • Coverage of Emergency Department, inpatient, and STAT examinations
  • Covering non-emergent ambulatory general radiology and ambulatory radiology (as mutually desirable) specific to any appropriate sub-specialty training (Body, MSK, Neuro) as a component of swing shift volume
  • No mammography, interventional radiology, or nuclear medicine
  • Leadership abilities and interest would be considered an asset. The existing mature 24/7 on site Emergency Radiology program is ready to expand and take on new volume and the practice will support a leader willing to develop new programs and consider extensive network collaborations
  • The practice maintains subspecialized support for complex or unfamiliar cases

Jefferson Radiology, established in 1963, is a 90+ physician sub-specialty group practice with 400+ non-physician staff members based in Connecticut covering multiple imaging centers, community hospitals and tertiary-academic centers. We have developed a unified, enterprise PACS with home workstations for all physicians, state-of-the art cloud-based system with AI tools and workflow enhancement solutions to optimize patient care and radiologist effectiveness. We offer flexible/personalized partnership track staffing models that range between 3-5 day-per-week models. Our practice supports a 20-person residency.

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO)
  • Board Eligible or Certified, American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR)
  • Residency Trained, ACGME Accredited Radiology Program
  • Fellowship Trained, Body Imaging
  • Practice will assist in obtaining licenses in both Connecticut and Massachusetts

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is $400,000-$650,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
