About the Role

Liferaft is looking for a highly skilled and visionary Business Development Representative (BDR) The ideal candidate is a proactive go-getter with excellent communication skills and a natural ability to connect with others. This role will be hybrid in Halifax, NS, or fully remote within the Eastern, or Atlantic time zones in Canada.

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you will uncover fresh business prospects by initiating contact and fostering relationships with potential customers.

To thrive in this role, you'll need a track record of converting leads from stellar marketing campaigns. Harness your communication prowess to build robust connections with customers, guiding them through the qualifying stages until they're ready for a rendezvous with an Account Executive. What you do as the Business Development Representative (BDR) at Liferaft

  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients from named account list through LinkedIn, phone calls and emails
  • Present our product to potential clients using the guides and scripts provided
  • Qualify clients and identify those ready to view demos and meet with an Account Executive for deeper fact-find
  • Work with the marketing team to proactively come up with new campaign ideas to garner targeted leads
  • Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Account Executives
  • Meet regularly with assigned Account Executives to understand and support their prospecting strategy
  • Deliver performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
  • Stay in the loop on the latest products, services, competitors and business development tools and techniques

Requirements

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive or similar role
  • Hands-on proficiency with diverse sales techniques, including the art of the cold calls
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Familiarity with CRM software, with a preference for Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Marketing Automation software, with a preference for HubSpot
  • Comfortable navigating MS Excel
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
