This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for leading the creation, publishing, and programming of content across the NBA's Fantasy & Gaming digital ecosystem, with primary ownership of the @NBAFantasy social channels.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of NBA Fantasy, lives on social platforms, and knows how to translate real-time NBA moments into engaging, platform-specific content. This role will also contribute to broader content efforts across NBA.com and the NBA App, ensuring Fantasy & Gaming storytelling is integrated across all digital touchpoints.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day content publishing and platform management for @NBAFantasy social channels, with a strong understanding of voice, tone, and audience behavior

  • Lead day-to-day content publishing and platform management for NBA's suite of free-to-play games (NBA Pick'em, etc.)

  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies across Instagram, X, TikTok, and emerging channels, optimizing content for each environment

  • Monitor real-time NBA games and trends to create timely, engaging fantasy-focused social content

  • Analyze social performance metrics and trends to inform content decisions and improve engagement

  • Curate, program, and publish video, photo, statistical, and editorial content across NBA Fantasy & Gaming digital platforms

  • Translate fantasy insights, player performance, and storylines into compelling, fan-friendly content

  • Support content creation and publishing efforts across NBA.com and the NBA App, ensuring Fantasy & free-to-play games are represented within broader NBA coverage

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align Fantasy and Free-to-Play content with key NBA tentpoles, moments, and initiatives

  • Actively participate in content planning for Fantasy & Gaming across social and digital platforms

  • Leverage promotional tools (push notifications, email, in-app placements) to amplify content reach and engagement

  • Identify and introduce new content formats, series, and ideas tailored to Fantasy audiences

  • Track and interpret engagement data to evaluate content performance and inform future programming

  • Work with third-party content providers to edit, publish, and program Fantasy & Gaming content

  • Provide oversight and quality control for externally produced content across Fantasy & Gaming channels

  • Ensure all content aligns with NBA brand standards and Fantasy-focused editorial priorities

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Deep knowledge of NBA Fantasy, including players, teams, trends, and gameplay strategy

  • Deep knowledge of NBA free-to-play games including Pick'em style, trivia, casual and skill-based

  • Strong understanding of basketball analytics and how they translate to Fantasy performance

  • Proven experience managing and publishing content on behalf of a brand across social media platforms

  • Strong understanding of platform best practices (Instagram, X, TikTok, etc.) and audience behaviors

  • Ability to interpret social analytics and trends to inform content strategy and optimization

  • Experience working within a CMS (WordPress preferred)

  • Understanding of the fantasy and free-to-play gaming space with the ability to create engaging, fantasy-driven content experiences

  • Ability to turn data, stats, and real-time moments into compelling storytelling

  • Strong communication skills, especially in a remote, fast-paced environment

  • Experience working nights/weekends and reacting to live events on deadline

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners

  • Proactive, creative thinker who can generate content ideas and execute quickly

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred

Salary Range:
