  • Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, and indirect cost allocation
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to work through detailed financial information with accuracy
  • Comfort taking direction, asking questions, and learning established processes
  • Strong communication, follow through, and organizational skills
  • A growth mindset and desire to move into a Controller role
Bonus if you have:
  • Experience with Sage 100 Contractor or Acumatica
  • Cost accounting experience
  • Job costing experience
  • Experience in a small or mid-sized company
  • Experience supporting process improvement or system clean up
  • Prior Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar experience
Key responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day accounting and financial operations
  • Prepare and review reconciliations, reports, and supporting schedules
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Help improve financial systems, policies, and processes
  • Review costs, allocations, and financial details for accuracy
  • Support internal stakeholders with reporting and financial information
  • Assist with audits, compliance, and accounting best practices
  • Learn Syscon’s accounting structure, reporting expectations, and internal processes
  • Build toward broader finance leadership responsibilities over time
Come grow with us! APPLY HERE if you're interested in:
  • Making a meaningful impact at a small, fast-paced company
  • Building toward a larger finance leadership role
  • Working with a team that values accuracy, ownership, and follow through
  • Learning the business before taking full ownership
  • Having your contributions valued as you grow
Perks & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Bonus pay
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
