Loan Processor (Bilingual Spanish) - Remote Texas LHH is seeking a Loan Processor for a mortgage lending client. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced mortgage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can independently manage a high-volume pipeline of conventional and government mortgage loans. The Loan Processor will be responsible for managing loan files from application through closing, ensuring compliance with investor, agency, and lending guidelines while delivering exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong knowledge of FHA, VA, and conventional loan products, the ability to identify and obtain required documentation, and close collaboration with borrowers, underwriters, vendors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely approvals and fundings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of successfully managing multiple priorities while consistently meeting production and funding goals.

Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Review mortgage loan files to determine documentation requirements and ensure compliance with underwriting and investor guidelines.
  • Process conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loan applications from initial submission through funding.
  • Communicate with borrowers, loan consultants, underwriters, title companies, and third-party vendors throughout the loan lifecycle.
  • Request, collect, review, and organize borrower documentation including income, asset, credit, and property-related records.
  • Track loan milestones and manage deadlines to ensure timely submission to underwriting and successful loan closings.
  • Utilize pipeline management reports to prioritize workload and maintain processing efficiency.
  • Accurately update loan status, documentation, and conditions within the document management and loan origination systems.
  • Work closely with underwriting teams to clear loan conditions and facilitate approvals.
  • Consult regularly with leadership regarding pipeline status, priorities, and production goals.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, agency, and investor lending guidelines.
  • Stay current on mortgage regulations, loan products, underwriting requirements, and market changes.
  • Manage a full processing pipeline while consistently meeting service level expectations and monthly funding objectives.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through proactive communication and timely responses to borrowers and business partners.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage loan processing experience.
  • Experience processing both conventional and government-backed loans.
  • Strong knowledge of FHA and VA loan programs.
  • Experience utilizing Automated Underwriting Systems (DU/Desktop Underwriter).
  • Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and investor guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Purchase mortgage loan processing experience.
  • Experience working within a high-volume retail mortgage environment.
  • Familiarity with mortgage document management systems and loan origination platforms.
