Position Overview
Cyclotron's Azure team is hiring an Azure Engineer to help deliver cloud solutions for our enterprise clients. The Azure Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. This position is responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining Azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. The Azure Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business objectives, troubleshoot issues, and develop innovative solutions, while staying current with emerging Azure technologies and best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including VMs, App Services and Networking.
  • Deploy and configure key Azure infrastructure services, including Azure Landing Zones, Azure Virtual Desktop, Defender for Cloud and other enterprise platforms.
  • Architect and deploy secure network solutions on Azure, including VNETs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.
  • Implement and manage Azure storage solutions, including Blob, Queue, and Table Storage.
  • Develop and deploy applications using Azure App Services and integrate with other Azure services.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented across all Azure services using Azure Security Center and other tools.
  • Implement and manage containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Stay abreast of the latest Azure services and technologies, ensuring our solutions leverage the latest capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with a broad range of Azure services.
  • Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, storage, and application services.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with Azure pub/sub services and patterns.
  • Knowledge of Azure governance and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaaC).
