Mendix Low-Code Application Developer (100% Remote, US)


Location: Remote (must work Arizona hours, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM MST)
Job Type: Contract (W2 only)
Duration: Approximately 3-4 months, with possible extension
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Arizona time
Compensation: Competitive W2 Rate (DOE)



About the Role
SunSoft Online is seeking a Mendix Low-Code/No-Code Application Developer for a contract opportunity with our client, an Arizona state agency. This is a highly visible, time-critical application development effort delivering secure, scalable, user-centered solutions on the Mendix platform. The position is 100% remote and open to candidates across the US who can work Arizona business hours.


Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and develop Mendix applications: microflows and nanoflows, domain models, UI components and pages, and integrations/data sources.
  • Assist Business Analysts with requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Analyze and chart existing business processes; develop and document future-state processes, business rules, and workflow diagrams.
  • Prepare UAT test cases and coordinate UAT with business stakeholders; perform data validation and QA within Mendix applications.
  • Support pre-go-live testing and defect resolution; maintain project documentation.
  • Work within an Agile/Scrum team, keeping the Scrum Master/PM informed of progress, risks, and action items.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Low-Code/No-Code platform experience, Mendix strongly preferred.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery experience; familiarity with JIRA.
  • SQL Server querying, reporting, and diagnostics.
  • Understanding of PCI compliance standards; automated testing experience.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills; public-sector experience a plus.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. W2 only; no C2C.
