Job description

Founded in 1983, Kele Inc. is a leading distribution, and solutions partner with national reach and a global presence. Built around our customers and powered by our people, Kele provides millions of in-stock parts from more than 300 brands to drive automation & efficiency in nearly every type of facility, from office towers and factories to data centers and hospitals.
Our goal is to empower progress for maintenance managers, engineers, contractors, and all those building the future. We do this by delivering parts rapidly, providing custom assemblies upstream, and offering unmatched support to ensure projects run smoothly and downtime is minimized.
With 12 locations nationwide and headquarters in Tennessee, Kele combines deep technical expertise, rapid logistics, and a solutions-first mindset to help customers simplify supply chains, meet tight schedules, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Kele fosters a culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and customer obsession, empowering associates at every level to contribute, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
We are currently hiring for the role of Technical Integration Advisor.
SUMMARY
The Technical Integration Advisor owns the API layer that enables Kele customers to automate access to product data and streamline how they find and purchase products, whether through direct system integrations, partner platforms, or Kele's e-commerce experience. This role combines hands-on software development, integration architecture, and security ownership, and operates as an embedded senior member of the Software Development & Integrations team. The person in this seat is expected to lead through both production incidents and Agile process, not merely participate in them, and to use approved AI-assisted development tools to work faster and better.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own and evolve Kele's API gateway (api.kele.com) as the primary channel through which customers and partners access product data and purchasing capability, including order automation, catalog and pricing data access, and procurement system integrations.
  • Design and build integration solutions connecting Kele's ERP systems (Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Infor M3), CRM (Salesforce), product information management (Salsify), and e-commerce platforms to support customer-facing automation.
  • Design and maintain API connectivity to Microsoft SQL Server data environments, currently hosted on-premises, building integration patterns that can transition cleanly as the company moves toward cloud-hosted data infrastructure.
  • Design, host, and manage APIs and integration services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Container Apps and Azure Entra ID app registrations, so the gateway and related services reliably and securely serve both external customers and internal applications such as kele.com.
  • Own security architecture and review for the integration layer, including authentication, data exposure, and secure design practices; coordinate with IT security on WAF and bot mitigation controls (Imperva); and lead the response when a security issue arises.
  • Develop, test, debug, and support production code within Kele's Angular and .NET Core development lifecycle, hosted across Heroku and IIS/ARR environments, using approved AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to improve efficiency and delivery speed.
  • Own the response when production issues occur: diagnose the issue, coordinate resolution, and communicate status clearly to stakeholders.
  • Participate and lead within the development team's Agile process, including two-week sprints and a monthly release cadence, attending and contributing to ceremonies (grooming, planning, standups, retrospectives) and leading them when required.
  • Favor shipping working solutions over prolonged design cycles when appropriate, prototyping and validating direction quickly; own demonstrations of completed work and present them to business stakeholders in terms that connect technical delivery to business outcomes.
  • Own project plans for integration initiatives end to end, including scope, timeline, and risk, reporting progress and blockers to the Manager, Software Development & Integrations, with escalation to the VP, Platform Innovation & Development on cross-entity or architecture-level decisions.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in C#/.NET Core and Angular, with demonstrated ownership of production API services.
  • Experience designing and operating API gateways or equivalent integration middleware (YARP, Ocelot, or comparable).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server / Transact-SQL, including connecting APIs to on-premises SQL environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Container Apps, Entra ID, and cloud-hosted API management, and how to design integrations that can transition from on-premises SQL to cloud data platforms.
  • Working knowledge of API security fundamentals, including OAuth/SSO, rate limiting, and data exposure risk management.
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM, or e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools, such as Claude Code, as part of a daily workflow.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams on a sprint cadence, including leading ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a production incident to conclusion and communicate clearly under pressure.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience presenting technical work to non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver quickly through prototyping, proof-of-concept work, and deadline-driven execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with ERP migrations, particularly Infor M3.
  • Experience migrating or re-platforming on-premises SQL Server workloads to Azure SQL or comparable cloud data services.
  • Experience with WAF and bot mitigation tooling (Imperva or comparable).
  • Azure certifications (for example, Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect).
  • Experience owning both the technical build and the project plan for a single initiative without dedicated project management support.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing technologies, web analytics (e.g., GA4), and site search.

  • HSA
  • FSA (medical and dependent care)
  • 401(k) with employer match up to 4% with immediate vesting
