Our work hours are structured around a standard Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will work remotely, utilizing advanced telehealth platforms to provide virtual assessments and counseling sessions, ensuring convenience and accessibility for our clients.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly residents, identifying their specific psychological and emotional care needs.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions targeting the emotional challenges tied to aging, grief, and life transitions.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized, comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of geriatric clients.
• Educate interdisciplinary staff and family members on effective strategies and resources designed to enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life of older adults.
• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling for residents and their families, especially those confronting end-of-life circumstances.
• Design and deliver cognitive stimulation programs and other mental health interventions to promote mental acuity and emotional resilience in clients.

Your primary focus will be on elderly individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. You will encounter clients navigating significant life changes, such as retirement, relocation, and bereavement, requiring your expertise to foster coping mechanisms and emotional support.

• Possess a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
• Demonstrate a minimum of four years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.
• Have additional training or specialization in geriatric mental health and aging-related issues.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with elderly clients.
• Show empathy and cultural sensitivity, recognizing the diverse backgrounds of older adults.

• Prior experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored for elderly populations.
• Recognition of evidence-based interventions essential for promoting mental well-being in older adults.
• Adeptness in facilitating workshops or training sessions aimed at educating families and caregivers regarding mental health issues in the elderly.

Azure Counseling Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 65,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience, along with a generous sign-on bonus as part of our compensation package.
