Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a .Net Developer, Sr based in Netherlands.

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will contribute to modernizing and transforming business-critical applications within a cloud-focused technology environment.
You will work across multiple application domains, reviewing existing .NET codebases and helping define the technical requirements needed for successful modernization.
The role combines software development with cloud engineering, application discovery, integration troubleshooting, and CI/CD enablement.
You will help adapt applications to Azure-native architectures while collaborating closely with infrastructure and engineering teams.
Your work will support reliable integrations with external services and help establish scalable, secure, and observable cloud environments.
You will operate in a collaborative environment where technical expertise, problem-solving, and continuous improvement are highly valued.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to digital transformation initiatives while working with modern Microsoft and Azure technologies.

Accountabilities
  • Review, understand, and assess existing .NET application codebases across multiple business domains, including cards and corporate management.
  • Support application discovery activities by documenting application components, dependencies, database connections, integrations, and network requirements.
  • Adapt existing applications for Azure-native configurations, including Key Vault references, App Configuration, VNet integration, and Managed Identity.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to support Terraform-provisioned Azure environments, including App Service, Azure Functions, and Container Apps.
  • Troubleshoot integrations with external and internal services, including payment processors, SMS gateways, and internal APIs.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps across build, testing, and release stages.
  • Help identify technical dependencies, risks, and opportunities when modernizing or migrating existing applications.
  • Produce clear technical documentation to support application discovery, cloud adoption, integrations, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional experience developing applications with .NET, particularly .NET Core or .NET 6+.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Azure App Service on Windows, Azure Functions, and Azure Container Apps.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or Azure SQL.
  • Familiarity with Azure integration services, including Service Bus, Event Hub, and Cosmos DB.
  • Working knowledge of Azure identity and security services, including Azure AD B2C, Key Vault, and Managed Identity.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD pipelines, and work item tracking.
  • Ability to understand and interpret existing application codebases, even when documentation is limited.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to investigate complex application and integration issues.
  • Good written English and the ability to create clear, accurate technical documentation.
  • Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code on Azure is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Application Insights and Azure Monitor for application and infrastructure observability is an advantage.
  • Background in financial services, payments technology, or other highly integrated environments is desirable.
  • Previous experience contributing to cloud migration programs, including lift-and-shift or re-platforming initiatives, is a plus.
  • Understanding of Azure Private Endpoints and VNet integration patterns is an advantage.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary based on skills, qualifications, professional experience, and location.
  • Comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' professional and personal needs.
  • Opportunity to work with modern .NET, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud technologies.
  • Exposure to large-scale digital transformation and cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborative environment with opportunities to work closely with engineering and infrastructure specialists.
  • Opportunity to contribute to innovative digital products and solutions with meaningful business impact.
