A Remote Aviation job involves performing aviation-related tasks from a remote location, often using technology like drones, flight simulation software, or remote communication tools. These roles can include drone pilots, air traffic controllers, aviation analysts, and remote maintenance support. They enable professionals to contribute to aviation operations without being physically present at an airport or flight location. Remote Aviation jobs are growing due to advancements in technology and increased demand for flexible aviation solutions.

What does a typical workday look like for remote aviation?

A typical workday in Remote Aviation involves conducting pre-flight planning, operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or other remotely piloted aircraft, analyzing flight data, and preparing reports on flight operations. Professionals often collaborate with clients, engineering teams, or regulatory agencies to ensure mission parameters and safety standards are met. While much of the work is performed from a remote location, clear communication with team members and a readiness to troubleshoot technical issues are essential. Tasks may vary depending on the specific industry (e.g., surveying, agriculture, inspection), but adaptability and precision are always key.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in remote aviation?

To thrive in Remote Aviation roles, individuals need a strong background in aviation operations, remote piloting skills, and regulatory knowledge, often supported by certifications such as a Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) or equivalent. Excellent problem-solving abilities, situational awareness, and clear communication are vital soft skills for this position. These competencies are important to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination while operating from remote locations.

About JetEye:

JetEye is an early-stage technology company building a new digital platform for the business aviation industry. We are currently preparing for launch and focused on creating a better way for aviation professionals and businesses to connect, discover opportunities, and engage across the industry. Our team combines aviation, technology, and commercial expertise with the goal of building a scalable platform for the business aviation ecosystem.

Position Summary:

Are you an ambitious, motivated professional excited by sales, technology, and business aviation? Are you a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and helping build something from the ground up? JetEye is seeking a Director of Sales & Support to play a hands-on role in building our sales and client experience functions.

Working directly with leadership, you will engage with customers, drive sales, shape the client experience, and help establish the processes that will support JetEye's growth. This is a unique opportunity for an early-career professional to gain broad commercial experience and grow into a senior leadership role as the company scales. JetEye is backed by The SilverLogic, a leading South Florida software development firm that provides the technical infrastructure and long-term support behind the platform. This role is well-suited for a recent graduate of a business aviation or aviation management program looking to accelerate into a commercial leadership career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Support inbound and outbound sales efforts across aircraft owners, operators, and aviation service providers
    • Conduct product demos and walkthroughs of the software platform
    • Assist in building and refining the sales pipeline and CRM processes
    • Help develop pricing strategies, proposals, and client onboarding workflows
  • Client Support & Success:
    • Act as a primary point of contact for client questions, onboarding, and ongoing support
    • Ensure a high level of responsiveness and "white-glove" service for aviation clients
    • Gather user feedback and communicate product improvement ideas to the development team
  • Operations & Growth:
    • Assist in developing scalable sales and support processes from the ground up
    • Collaborate with leadership on go-to-market strategy and partnerships
    • Help maintain knowledge base, training materials, and internal documentation

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • 0-3 years of experience in aviation, SaaS, sales, or customer support (internships and academic experience considered)
    • Strong communication skills with a professional, client-facing demeanor
    • Highly organized, self-starter comfortable working in a remote environment
    • Interest in business aviation and technology
  • Preferred:
    • Degree or coursework in aviation, aviation management, or a related field
    • Prior exposure to business aviation (Part 91 / Part 135 / brokerage / FBO / charter ops)
    • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce CRM, HubSpot)
    • Familiarity with aircraft operations, trip planning, or ownership structures

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary with a strong commission structure, or a commission-only model with higher earning potential, depending on experience and fit.

Hiring Timeline: We are looking to fill this position immediately. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and join a company where you can make a real difference, we want to hear from you.
