Join Collins Aerospace and play a key role in shaping the future of air traffic surveillance within our Air Traffic Systems Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) portfolio. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and full lifecycle of our Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) product line, including Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) systems. This role focuses on leading product direction, market alignment, and portfolio growth for technologies essential to air traffic management, airspace safety, and the modernization of global surveillance capabilities as customers navigate evolving operational and regulatory demands.

In this role, you will combine customer needs, market trends, and industry requirements to define product direction through the full lifecycle from concept through sustainment. You will partner closely with engineering, program management, business development, and supply chain teams to drive product development, investment decisions, and business outcomes. The role also includes supporting customer engagements, monitoring industry and regulatory trends, and serving as the product leader across the organization. This role is ideal for a product manager who thrives at the intersection of meeting customer needs, complying with emerging regulatory trends, defining complex systems, and leading business strategy.

What You Will Do:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the SSR portfolio
  • Translate customer needs and market dynamics into clear product requirements and investment priorities
  • Partner with engineering to guide feature development and drive priority decisions based on ROI, schedule, and market opportunities
  • Develop business cases to support product investment, define product pricing, roadmap priority, and long-term planning
  • Lead product lifecycle management including new product development, introduction of new features, sustainment strategy, and obsolescence planning
  • Represent the product team in customer engagements, proposals, and industry forums
  • Monitor competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and industry trends to anticipate future market needs
  • Serve as the leader of the integrated product management team across engineering, supply chain, program management, and business development teams


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum of 7 years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management or closely related roles
  • Experience leading products or programs within complex systems, aerospace, defense, or regulated high-reliability industries
  • Demonstrated experience with product-level financials (forecasting, pricing, business cases, margin analysis)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working with ground-based or airborne radar systems, air traffic management systems, or surveillance technologies such as Mode S, ADS-B, or multilateration
  • Familiarity with global aviation regulatory bodies (FAA, ICAO, Eurocontrol, EASA)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer engagement skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, market-driven product direction
  • Prior experience in aviation infrastructure, defense systems, or mission-critical technologies

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
