SCHUNK is seeking a driven, customer-focused Regional Sales Manager to accelerate growth across Southern California. In this high-impact role, you will develop new business, strengthen strategic customer relationships, and expand SCHUNK's presence through OEMs, machine builders, distributors, system integrators, and end users.
The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with a passion for consultative selling. You understand how to position value, productivity, and ROI while building a healthy pipeline and delivering consistent results.

Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and market share within an assigned territory. This role blends business development, application-based solution selling, and channel management to secure specifications, influence buying decisions, and expand SCHUNK's customer base. Success requires strong customer engagement, strategic territory planning, and effective collaboration with internal teams and channel partners.
Key Responsibilities
Drive New Business Growth- Prospect, qualify, and close opportunities across OEMs, machine builders, distributors, system integrators, and end users.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline aligned with territory growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities within key manufacturing sectors.
- Present SCHUNK solutions through technical demonstrations, plant visits, and customer discussions.
- Position quality, reliability, productivity improvements, and ROI as key differentiators.
- Partner with customers to solve application challenges and improve manufacturing performance.
- Secure SCHUNK specifications on new machine and automation projects.
- Collaborate with machine builders, dealers, distributors, and integrators to drive market adoption.
- Support channel partners through training, joint sales calls, and account planning.
- Maintain accurate opportunities, forecasts, visit reports, and follow-up activities in SAP C4C.
- Leverage CRM data and reporting to track performance and support strategic planning.
- Ensure disciplined pipeline management and forecast accuracy.
- Work closely with Product Management, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams.
- Develop professional proposals and customer presentations that reflect SCHUNK's premium brand.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback to support business growth.
- Conduct regular customer visits, product demonstrations, and trade show activities throughout the territory.
- Establish clear action plans and follow-up commitments after each customer interaction.
- Travel as needed to support customer, channel, and business development activities.
Time Allocation

Actively prospect and develop new opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, and strategic territory planning. Drive revenue growth by converting opportunities into long-term customers.
Grow and support distributor and integrator partnerships through joint sales efforts, training, territory planning, and performance management to expand market reach and accelerate growth.
Maintain CRM accuracy, support quoting and forecasting activities, contribute to marketing initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, a technical field, or equivalent sales experience.
- 5+ years of successful industrial sales experience in manufacturing, machining, metalworking, automation, robotics, tooling, or related markets.
- Proven track record of new business development and territory growth.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Ability to manage a territory independently, prioritize opportunities, and maintain a disciplined sales process.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout Southern California.
- Experience with toolholding, workholding, gripping technology, automation, robotics, or CNC machining.
- Background selling through distributors, machine builders, OEMs, or system integrators.
- Technical aptitude with the ability to identify and solve customer application challenges.
