  • You will serve as a Supervisory Software PAPM for the BYG-1 Combat Systems in the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control Systems Program Office (PMS 425) under Director, AUKUS, International, and Systems (AIS).
  • You will manage software design development, coordination, and procurement of all US Navy submarine variants of BYG-1.
  • You will improve BYG-1 agile software development plan.
  • You will provide program office positions on policy analysis, interpretation, development and implementation at a senior level for PMS 425 leadership.
  • You will work with Naval Undersea Warfare Centers and Naval Sea Systems Command to coordinate the efforts to fulfill contract requirements to build, deliver, and maintain software BYG-1 variant.
  • You will provide financial oversight, analyzing and recommending strategies to optimize budget allocations.
  • You will attend high-level meetings as a senior representative, delivering substantive oral and written presentations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will support management of the life cycle logistics product for submarine combat systems.
  • You will lead the development and completion of BYG-1 SWFTS Modernization and Transformation.
  • You will oversee evaluations and studies, assign tasks to team members, and present findings to major command levels, addressing trends, metrics, and significant organizational issues.
  • You will engage/manage efforts with external payload providers and non-developmental items (NDI) for integration into the BYG-1 Combat System.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Functional Area and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency)pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing financial, contractual, or programmatic activities to develop reports for stakeholders on program requirements, performance, or operations.
