Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $101,500.00 - $169,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

Applies the principles of secure software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure. Works cross-functionally to understand business requirements, architecture, and technology direction; evaluates alternative approaches; and ensures software and systems are designed accordingly. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality, scalability, resilience, and security, as well as ease-of-use across developer and end-user experiences. Applies agile principles to software development with a focus on delivery of business value, collaboration, continuous improvement, and sustainability.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serves as a participating member on teams tasked to develop, improve, and deliver product and system elements and features.

  • Breaks down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear, and estimable objectives, providing recommendations to management and project team members.

  • Designs and develops responsive, accessible user interfaces using TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.

  • Writes end-to-end automated tests to provide code coverage for business-critical components.

  • Ensures quality, performance, and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions.

  • Works with fellow team members to ensure design, development, and execution align with and support adjacencies and adhere to established architectural standards.

  • Designs, deploys, and maintains cloud infrastructure and services on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.

  • Notifies team or technical manager of variances from plans and identifies changes in scope or work.

  • Helps define and support implementation of coding standards.

  • May offer technical guidance to less experienced team members.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field; or a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 12 years' experience in a related field with no degree.

  • Demonstrated experience building UI solutions using TypeScript; proficiency with component-based frameworks such as React or Angular strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS or another major cloud platform (Azure, GCP); familiarity with cloud-native patterns including serverless, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Skilled in analytical thinking, requirements analysis, software installation and support, system and technology integration, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Skilled in building partnerships, challenging personal limitations, driving innovation, focusing on execution, and striving for excellence.

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality is a plus.
