Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to design, implement, and validate advanced automation solutions for the Packaging business, while delivering high-quality technical support to our customers. This individual contributor role partners closely with cross-functional teams to execute innovative automation projects aligned with Tetra Pak and customer quality standards.
This position can be based in any U.S. Tetra Pak offices and requires up to 75% travel to customer sites.

What you will do

  • Provide remote automation support, troubleshooting, service, and start-up assistance for Tetra Pak packaging equipment.
  • Prepare, implement, and validate upgrades to automation systems.
  • Diagnose and work with programmable control systems, networks, databases, I/O servers, and SCADA systems.
  • Support VMware environments across the Americas.
  • Collaborate with Service Engineers, Sales Support, Issue Resolution, customers, and local teams.
  • Analyze system design requirements and develop or modify HMI, database, and PLC programs.
  • Contribute to automation integration projects across production lines.

We believe you have

  • Degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechanical, Robotics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience programming and implementing automation systems.
  • Strong technical expertise in Allen-Bradley PLCs, Ethernet networks, AS-I Bus/industrial networks, Wonderware InTouch, and FactoryTalk View (HMI/UI).
  • Experience with SCADA systems, line controllers, network infrastructure, and system integration.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to work under demanding deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill development.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with diverse cultures and teams.
  • Experience in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industries is strongly preferred.

Pay Equity


Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.


Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $86,700.00 – 111,400.00.
Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
