Senior Business Process Analyst (Agile Delivery and Project Tracking)

Our work depends on a Senior Business Process Analyst joining our team to support our customer activities in Washington, DC. This position can be worked Remote.

The ideal candidate combines business analysis expertise with hands-on project oversight, ensuring initiatives remain on schedule, risks are managed, and cross-functional teams deliver high-quality solutions effectively. The candidate should be experienced in Agile methodologies; requirements gathering; user story creation; sprint management, and using Jira, Confluence, and AI tools to track, visualize, and communicate project progress.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Tracking

  • Lead day-to-day project management activities, including schedule development, milestone tracking, dependency management, and risk/issue mitigation.
  • Maintain and manage project plans, dashboards, status reports, and delivery roadmaps to ensure transparency across stakeholders.
  • Track progress across multiple Scrum and Kanban teams using Jira, ensuring alignment between planned work, in-flight activities, and delivery commitments.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on action items, deliverables, blockers, and stakeholder requests through disciplined project tracking routines.
  • Establish repeatable project workflows and documentation standards to strengthen governance and operational consistency.

Agile Management & Facilitation

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support cross-functional teams by removing impediments, improving communication flow, and ensuring alignment to sprint goals.
  • Monitor sprint health metrics (velocity, burndown, capacity, flow) and proactively address risks impacting delivery.
  • Manage Jira workflows, boards, tasks, and queries to support project transparency and operational efficiency.

Business Analysis & Process Optimization

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Document end-to-end processes and identify areas for optimization, automation, or reengineering to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with SMEs, technical teams, analysts, and operations staff to ensure requirements are understood and delivered correctly.
  • Maintain structured documentation and linked artifacts in Confluence to ensure traceability across requirements, development, and reporting.

Tools & Technology

  • Use Jira and Confluence extensively for project planning, tracking, reporting, and documentation.
  • Leverage AI tools for project tracking, workflow automation, documentation updates, and multi-project coordination.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience.
  • 3+ years of project management, business analysis, or Agile delivery experience.
  • Proven experience tracking projects, managing schedules, writing requirements, and developing user stories.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project management, requirements tracking, and workflow documentation.
  • US citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with refugee and immigrant population or other social programs.
  • Understanding of ITIL or other process improvement frameworks.
  • Experience with integration of business and operational data into Jira and Confluence to enable traceability, reporting, and workflow automation.

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
