Integration/Automation Engineer - Federal Customer
(on-site 5 days per week: TS/SCI Required)
Job summary
The Integration & Automation Engineer supports Dell Mission Operations by building repeatable, efficient, and supportable technical workflows across infrastructure and application environments. This role is responsible for scripting, systems integration, automation development, and troubleshooting activities that reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical curiosity, automation discipline, and the ability to improve reliability through engineering rigor.
Key responsibilities
• Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows for operational and engineering tasks
• Integrate systems, tools, and interfaces to support repeatable deployment and sustainment
• Troubleshoot integration failures, workflow issues, and technical dependencies
• Support CI/CD-style practices, configuration management, and version control discipline
• Document automation logic, procedures, and implementation guidance
• Partner with systems, network, and support teams to streamline complex technical processes
• Validate changes in lab or controlled environments before release
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, error rates, and turnaround time
Required qualifications
• Experience with scripting in Python or similar language
• Experience with systems integration, automation, or orchestration workflows
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues across multiple platforms or tools
