This role is ideal for a QA professional with strong technical skills, hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, and an interest in working on large-scale Payroll and USPS-related systems

You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure software quality, regulatory compliance, and delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and test scripts for functional, integration, end-to-end (E2E), regression, smoke, API, and transactional testing across enterprise applications. Collaborate with developers, QA leads, business analysts, and product teams to define, document, analyze, execute, and interpret testing activities that align with business and technical requirements.

Review business and functional requirements, develop comprehensive test plans, prepare test scenarios, and transform them into reusable automated and manual test scripts. Prepare and maintain test data required for validating complex business workflows, integrations, and payroll processing scenarios. Execute manual and automated test cases, document test execution results, log defects, and support root cause analysis and resolution activities.

Analyze testing outcomes, document findings, and provide recommendations supported by test evidence to improve overall software quality. Ensure testing activities, documentation, and deliverables comply with USPS Technology Solution Life Cycle (TSLC) standards and established QA processes. Support functional validation across critical business processes, including smoke testing, regression testing, system integration testing, and end-to-end workflow validation.

Contribute to API, database, performance, security, and integration testing efforts under the guidance of senior QA engineers. Assist in planning, tracking, and reporting QA deliverables across multiple concurrent projects. Participate in system design and solution reviews to improve application testability, automation opportunities, and overall product quality.

Maintain QA documentation including test strategies, test plans, test cases, automation assets, execution reports, and defect tracking records. Support post-deployment validation, production verification, and defect triage activities. Identify testing risks and contribute to mitigation strategies throughout the software development lifecycle.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve QA practices. Utilize AI-assisted testing tools to accelerate test case generation, improve automation coverage, and enhance testing efficiency where appropriate. Qualifications Required 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing across enterprise applications.

Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and Agile/Scrum practices. Experience developing automation scripts and frameworks for functional, API, integration, regression, and data-driven testing. Experience reviewing business requirements, developing test plans, preparing test data, and executing comprehensive testing activities.

Working knowledge of SQL/PLSQL, database validation, Excel (including Pivot Tables), and reporting tools. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and exposure to DevOps or DevSecOps practices. Experience using AI-assisted testing tools or AI-generated test scripting solutions to improve testing productivity.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field.

Preferred Experience working on Payroll, HRIS, Finance, ERP, or other highly transactional enterprise applications. Knowledge of payroll concepts including payroll processing, gross-to-net calculations, taxes, deductions, benefits, garnishments, retro pay, and payroll lifecycle workflows. Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and payroll compliance principles.

Experience with Agile project management tools such as VersionOne, Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Certifications in QA or Automation (e.g., ISTQB Foundation, Selenium, Postman). Experience with performance, security, and integration testing tools

Familiarity with USPS systems or other large-scale government or enterprise transactional platforms. Exposure to enterprise architecture, software product lifecycle management, and AI/ML-assisted testing solutions. Mainframe testing experience is considered an advantage.
