What is a remote automation control?

Remote Automation Control jobs involve monitoring, managing, and optimizing automated systems or processes from a remote location. Professionals in these roles use specialized software and networked devices to control machinery, production lines, or building systems without being physically present on-site. These jobs are common in industries such as manufacturing, energy, and smart building management. Key responsibilities often include troubleshooting, system configuration, and ensuring smooth operation of automation technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote automation control specialist?

To thrive as a Remote Automation Control specialist, you need expertise in control systems engineering, process automation, and a relevant degree in engineering or a related technical field. Familiarity with SCADA systems, PLC programming, industrial protocols, and certifications such as ISA or Siemens are typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective remote communication set top performers apart. These competencies are crucial for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of automated systems from a distance.

One common challenge in Remote Automation Control is troubleshooting issues without being physically present at the site, which requires strong diagnostic skills and clear communication with on-site personnel. • Close new business independently and hand off cleanly to the Clovyr onboarding team.
  • Provide market feedback to the founding team to inform product and positioning decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology sales is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and the ability to speak confidently about LLMs, data privacy, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with outbound automation tools.
  • Strong communication and phone skills comfortable with cold outreach and multi-channel prospecting.
  • Competitive, self-motivated, and results-driven personality with a track record of hitting targets.
  • Comfortable attending and networking at conferences and industry events independently.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset you thrive with autonomy, own your results, and don't need hand-holding.

Why Join Clovyr

  • Sell a genuinely differentiated product self-hosted AI with real compliance/privacy properties that enterprises actually need.
  • Get in early at a fast-growing AI startup with a clear GTM roadmap and founder-level access.
  • Unlimited earning potential the more you close, the more you earn, with no artificial cap.
  • Be part of a lean, supportive, and growth-oriented team that moves fast and rewards results.
  • Participate in product/engineering development process by communicating customer insights directly to tech/product teams
