Job description

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Processing Manager, the Processor works to ensure the integrity of the customer experience and loan processing protocols. He/she performs duties related to processing mortgage loan applications and mortgage loan documentation, with an intense focus on the customer experience. The roleโ€™s primary duties are centered around communicating with all stakeholders, gathering documentation from third parties and customers, placing/reviewing documentation, and performing data entry.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of all current conventional, processing procedures issued by the company, investors, and government agencies.
  • Process a pipeline of 45+ active loans
  • Participate in pipeline calls with mortgage consultants and leaders.
  • Ensure all critical dates within pipeline are met, including but not limited to closing dates, contingency dates, and lock expiration dates.
  • Meet all company Service Level Agreements (SLAs) regarding file reviews, communication, and document gathering/follow-up.
  • Communicate with customers, mortgage consultants, real estate agents, operations employees, title/escrow companies, and insurance agents to provide obtain information.
  • Follow company prescribed approach when communicating with customers.
  • Order credit-related documents such as credit reports, credit supplements, and non-traditional credit documentation.
  • Order/obtain property related documents such as the real estate sales contract, appraisal, and solar documentation.
  • Review documents for completeness and request additional information as required.
  • Acceptably prepare applications for submission to underwriting.
  • Obtain third party verifications, such as verifications of employment or rental history.
  • Obtain required title and hazard insurances and perform related data entry.
  • Obtain fraud reports, and other third-party items.
  • Ensure compliance with investor/legal guidelines and directives.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years residential mortgage processing experience
  • Experience with Jumbo and Non-QM required
  • Experience processing a variety of NON-QM loans including bank statement, asset qualifier, P&L and DSCR loans required
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • Experience using Encompass preferred
  • Must possess strong mathematical and judgment skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
  • Must comply with industry-related regulations, requirements, and state/federal laws
  • Ability to work independently to meet production and quality goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Work Environment

  • Extensive telephone usage.
  • Extensive oral and written communication required.
  • Regular use of computer mouse requires repetitive hand and wrist motion.
  • Essential functions must be performed during regularly scheduled business hours.
