AZRA is looking for a Claims Specialist III to join our Asbestos Team - based anywhere, USA
What you do:
  • Manage a caseload of complex asbestos accounts.
  • Timely claim management of new loss assignments and reassignment.
  • Develop account strategy and manage mass tort litigation.
  • Evaluate asbestos cases.
  • Provide defense counsel and vendor oversight based upon an agreed litigation strategy.
  • Identify appropriate cases for trial and complete pre-trial and trial activities.
  • Understand coverage issues and make complex coverage decisions.
  • Gather and analyze claim trend, billing and other claim and financial data.

What you bring:
  • Asbestos claim handling or defense experience with demonstrated roles of increased responsibility.
  • Analytical thinker, detailed-oriented and highly self-motivated with an interest in continued learning of complex claims and issues.
  • Strong technical background desired with an emphasis on coverage issue identification and policy interpretation.
  • In-depth knowledge of liability policy language and coverage interpretation.
  • Ability to provide guidance, input and oversight to defense counsel.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work experience in a highly regulated environment and ability to ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Strong interaction and presentation skills desired.
  • College degree required, J.D. preferred.
  • State licenses where required.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

This position will report to the Director of Asbestos Claims.
This position may require occasional national travel on short notice.
Job Posting Range $96,500 - $144,600
Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
