Job description

The Physician Engagement Liaison serves as a strategic relationship manager between the Parallel ENT and Allergy's practices and referring providers across ENT, Allergy, Audiology, Primary Care, Pediatrics, and related specialties. This role is responsible for driving referral growth, strengthening provider relationships, and ensuring seamless communication between practices and the MSO's network of specialty providers.
The ideal candidate has experience in sales or market cultivation of physician referrals, understands referral workflows in ENT and Allergy, excels at building long-term, trust-based relationships with clinical offices.
Up to 80% travel, within practice market (TEXAS), is required.
Key Responsibilities
Physician & Referral Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, and office staff across the MSO's markets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners, addressing service issues, scheduling challenges, and patient access concerns.
  • Act as a trusted liaison between community providers and the Parallel's practices.

Referral Growth & Access Optimization
  • Access barriers, and workflow gaps using ModMed and referral data.
  • Partner with operations leadership to improve appointment access and referral turnaround times.
  • Collaborate with referring providers and internal practice teams to monitor referral patterns, identify emerging concerns or trends, and implement strategies to address factors contributing to changes in referral patterns.
  • Support growth initiatives by increasing referral volume and improving conversion rates from referral to visit.

Education & Outreach
  • Educate referring offices on available ENT, Allergy, Audiology, and ancillary services, including new providers, programs, and clinical capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to referring practices on referral workflows within Modernizing Medicine.
  • Distribute clinical and service line updates in coordination with marketing and operations teams.
  • Positively and professionally represent each practice to external offices.

Data, Reporting & Market Intelligence
  • Monitor referral patterns, provider activity, and conversion metrics using ModMed and CRM tools.
  • Prepare regular reports on referral volume, conversion rates, access performance, and outreach effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and unmet clinical needs.

Collaboration & Internal Partnership
  • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Provider Leadership to align outreach with capacity and growth priorities.
  • Support new provider launches, new location openings, and acquisitions through targeted referral outreach.
  • Provide real-time feedback from the field to leadership to drive operational and clinical improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare, marketing, physician relations, or sales experience
  • Strong understanding of referral workflows, patient access, and clinic operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with physicians and office leadership
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment with high accountability

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a multi-site MSO or physician practice management organization
  • Existing experience with provider relations in ENT and allergy
  • Familiarity with CRM, referral analytics, and call center metrics
  • Direct experience using Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) in a clinical, referral, or operations environment
