Job Description Overview This position is contingent upon award of contract SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking Chinese Linguists to support a US Government Client. Linguists will serve as subject matter experts and leverage Chinese and their cultural expertise to translate materials and documents into English language products. Essential Job Duties * Gist, summarize, and translate Chinese printed, electronic, or audio/visual material into clear, understandable, and idiomatically correct English.
  • Leverage knowledge of culture, media, and language to answer Client questions.
  • Adhere to Client style and translation standards to prepare all products.
  • Efficiently leverage Client-specific tools and workflows.
Ability to meet deadlines, including same day. Qualifications Minimum Requirements High School Diploma and three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency at least 4/4+ (ILR) level in Chinese. Proficiency will be determined by standardized language exams which must be completed as part of the application process.
  • Expertise related to country and surrounding regions where Chinese is spoken natively.
  • Experience with open source research and support, product creation and dissemination, collection management and workflow support.
  • Experience in open source social media collection, analysis, and exploitation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to engage collaboratively and effectively in a virtual environment within a diverse team.
Strong time and task management skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree.
