Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements. Translate business requirements into technical requirements for data solutions. Work with engineering teams to design and build scalable reporting and data solutions, utilizing cloud platforms like Azure for enhanced performance and scalability. Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various databases, including cloud-based systems. Clean and transform source data to meet stakeholders' requirements, leveraging Azure Data Factory for automation. Apply business logic and perform necessary calculations to develop accurate data solutions. Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the process using cloud-native tools for monitoring and validation. Debug and troubleshoot issues related to data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, ensuring efficient cloud-based ETL pipelines. Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and integration across systems. Manage cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance optimization. Implement best practices for ETL development, including error handling and data validation. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and business analysts. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Position Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, PLUS one (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related position.
Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: SQL; Caché; DB2; SSIS; SSRS; Python; Azure; Apache Hadoop; Apache Spark; and, ETL. Travel to unanticipated client locations, throughout the U.S., approximately 30%, as required. May telecommute from any location within the U.S.
