• Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Regularly update clinical documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, and wellness coaches to create a holistic approach to client care.
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to remain current with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
• Conduct follow-up sessions to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to enhance client outcomes.

This role primarily involves working with a diverse client population, including adolescents and families dealing with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance misuse. The LPC will need to exhibit cultural competence and understanding to effectively engage with clients from various backgrounds and communities within Arlington, ensuring equitable access to care and tailoring interventions to each client’s context.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• An active and unhindered license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• At least two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and establish rapport with clients of all ages.
• Thorough understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) software and other relevant digital tools necessary for documentation and client management.

• Specialization or additional training in family therapy, trauma-informed care, couples counseling, or substance use disorders.
• Experience working in community mental health settings or non-profit organizations.
• A proven track record of success in engaging clients and improving therapeutic outcomes.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and client caseload. Our compensation package includes:
