What is a remote asynchronous?

A Remote Asynchronous job allows employees to work from any location without the need for real-time communication or fixed working hours. Instead of adhering to a set schedule, employees complete tasks on their own time while collaborating through emails, recorded videos, or project management tools. This setup promotes flexibility and autonomy, making it ideal for global teams or individuals in different time zones. Effective communication and self-discipline are crucial for success in this type of work environment.

How does asynchronous work affect collaboration and communication in a remote setting?

In a remote asynchronous role, team members typically work at different times, so effective collaboration relies heavily on clear written communication and thorough documentation. You'll often need to leave detailed updates, instructions, or feedback so that colleagues in other time zones can pick up where you left off. This setup encourages autonomy but also requires proactive communication and strong organizational skills. Common challenges include waiting for responses and ensuring alignment on tasks, but teams address this by setting clear expectations, regular check-ins, and using asynchronous-friendly tools. If you are self-driven and comfortable working independently, this environment can offer great flexibility and work-life balance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a remote asynchronous position?

To thrive in a Remote Asynchronous role, you need excellent self-management, time management, and digital communication skills, typically supported by experience working independently in remote environments. Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, Asana, and cloud-based document sharing platforms is important, and some roles may require specific technical proficiencies tied to the field. Strong written communication, proactivity, and the ability to set clear priorities will help you excel when direct, real-time supervision is limited. These competencies ensure productivity, accountability, and team alignment in settings where team members may work across different time zones and schedules.

Job description

Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain, from clinical development to clinical care. For Life Sciences partners, we offer the leading at-home EEG platform for clinical development of novel therapeutics for neurological, psychiatric, and sleep disorders. Our Diagnostics business is building the most comprehensive at-home platform for precision diagnostics, combining EEG and cardiopulmonary signals to deliver reimbursable assessments for sleep and central nervous system disorders. Together, we're changing the way patients are diagnosed and treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.
We're looking for an organized, innovative marketing professional to serve as the operational engine behind our Diagnostics arm of our marketing team. You'll be the person who makes things happen, turning strategy into action, managing our tech stack, coordinating event participation, owning customer communication, and building systems that help our marketing and sales teams work smarter.
Beacon's robust asynchronous work practices ensure a first-class remote work experience, but we also have in-person office hubs available located in Boston, New York and Paris.
What You'll Do
CRM and Data Management
  • In partnership with our RevOps team, maintain clean, actionable data across our diagnostics marketing and sales systems
  • Implement tagging structures and workflows that enable our team to work more efficiently
  • Manage the marketing attribution model across touchpoints
  • Own day-to-day execution within our CRM: email campaigns, workflows, lead tracking, and list management

Digital Marketing
  • Maintain and update Diagnostic-specific pages on our website (Framer CMS); coordinate with internal designers on content refreshes
  • Build and manage an editorial calendar and grow our LinkedIn presence (with expansion to other platforms)
  • Track relevant awareness days, research milestones, and cultural moments to keep our content timely
  • Manage digital campaigns including copy generation, design, UTM tracking, vendor management, and ROI analysis
  • Collaborate with in-house designers to produce engaging visuals, animations, and data storytelling

Messaging and Strategy
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement materials for sleep physicians, neurologists, and PCPs
  • Support cross-functional project coordination, including managing Asana boards and facilitating internal marketing communications
  • Build out and manage ideal customer profiles (ICPs) with targeted messaging and value props for each

Events & Conference Strategy
  • Own our conference calendar end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to post-event ROI analysis
  • Coordinate event logistics: registration, booth materials, swag, vendor communications, budget tracking
  • Develop pre- and post-event outreach strategies, including attendee targeting and follow-up campaigns
  • Manage deadlines around scientific content submissions (abstracts, posters) and social amplification around events

Thought Leadership & Media Relations
  • Identify award opportunities and manage submissions from application to announcement
  • Scout podcast and speaking opportunities for our subject matter experts
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelors degree and 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or Marketing Analytics
  • Deep expertise with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Experience in medical device, diagnostics, marketing
  • Familiarity with FDA-regulated promotional content and compliance review processes
  • Experience with Framer, Webflow, or similar no-code CMS platforms
  • Background supporting a dual or multi-audience brand
  • Basic design literacy; experience providing feedback on marketing collateral

The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills and qualifications. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which includes equity, PTO and other benefits.
At Beacon, we've found that cultural and scientific impact is driven most by those that lead by example. As such, we're always seeking new contributors whose work demonstrates an avid curiosity, a bias towards simplicity, an eye for composability, a self-service mindset, and - most of all - a deep empathy towards colleagues, stakeholders, users, and patients. We believe a diverse team builds more robust systems and achieves higher impact.
