Bright Mental Wellness Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position allows you to bring your expertise directly to clients in need, without the barriers of commuting. As a remote mental health counselor, you will benefit from a flexible work setting while maintaining full access to our supportive resources. The clinic operates primarily Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the understanding that some flexibility may be necessary to accommodate patient needs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, ensuring comprehensive care for your clients.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify each patient’s unique needs and collaboratively develop personalized treatment strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapies, to provide individual, couples, and family therapy.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups designed to address specific mental health issues, creating a sense of community and shared understanding among participants.
• Develop collaborative treatment plans in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, ensuring holistic care tailored to each patient’s condition.
• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Educate clients on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them towards personal recovery goals.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development workshops to stay informed on the latest advancements in mental health care.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Demonstrable knowledge of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic approaches.
• Proven experience conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enhancing collaboration and trust with clients and team members.
• A strong commitment to maintaining ethical and professional boundaries with sound judgment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

Experience providing therapy in outpatient settings, particularly with a focus on a variety of mental health challenges, is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital platforms for remote patient engagement will be advantageous.
