About the Role:
Octave is seeking a highly skilled MDM Architect with expertise in Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) data to design, implement, and optimize enterprise master data solutions that directly support business objectives and drive organizational growth. As a business-facing MDM Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and IT, to define and implement solutions that empower business users to act on high-quality, reliable data.
You will ensure that master data initiatives are aligned with strategic goals and deliver tangible value across the organization.
  • Strategic MDM Architecture & Frameworks: Define and implement enterprise-wide MDM architecture and frameworks that align with business objectives and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders in sales, marketing, operations, and finance to understand their needs and deliver tailored data solutions that enable better customer insights, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Establish data governance policies and workflows to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of master data, especially in critical business domains such as Customer and Vendor.
  • D&B Data Utilization: Leverage Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) data to enrich and validate business-critical data, ensuring consistency and enhancing the organization's ability to meet regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR).
  • Data Quality Metrics: Continuously monitor and improve data quality metrics to drive organizational alignment with data-driven goals, using D&B data for validation and compliance.
  • Thought Leadership & Best Practices: Act as a strategic advisor, providing thought leadership on how to best leverage D&B data and MDM best practices for improving business processes, analytics, and reporting.
  • End-to-End Data Solutions: Design and implement scalable, end-to-end data solutions, including data integration processes, APIs, and ETL pipelines, that support business systems and enable seamless data flow across departments.
  • Technology & Platform Integration: Work with leading MDM, CRM, and Data Management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Informatica, SAP MDG, Snowflake) to integrate and optimize data processes that enable business users to make better, faster decisions.

Education / Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data architecture, MDM, or data governance, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, business-aligned data solutions.
    • D&B Expertise: Strong background in integrating and managing Dun & Bradstreet data within enterprise systems to support business goals such as customer segmentation, vendor management, and compliance.
    • MDM Platforms & Data Modeling: Expertise in MDM platforms and data modeling, with a focus on driving value across business units.
    • Data Integration & Tools: Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, API integrations, and familiarity with data platforms like Salesforce, Informatica, and SAP MDG.
    • Business Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between data solutions and business objectives.
    • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical capabilities to translate business needs into actionable data solutions, optimizing business processes and performance.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in data stewardship and compliance frameworks.
