Job description

Job Overview:
The Project Manager - Endless Aisle Marketplace serves as the central owner of operational execution and program delivery for UNFI's white label drop-ship marketplace powered by Mable. This role is accountable for ensuring that marketplace initiatives-supplier onboarding waves, catalog launches, platform enhancements, financial readiness, and operational changes-are delivered on time, at quality, and in alignment with UNFI governance, compliance, and financial controls.
This role does not own category strategy or assortment decisions. Instead, it partners closely with Merchandising, Pricing, Finance, Technology, and Mable to translate strategy into repeatable, scalable execution. The Project Manager ensures the Endless Aisle marketplace operates as a reliable, enterprise-grade extension of UNFI.
Job Responsibilities:
Marketplace Program & Project Leadership
• Own end-to-end project management for all Endless Aisle initiatives, including supplier onboarding phases, category expansions, catalog refresh cycles, promotional readiness, and platform upgrades.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, risk logs, and communication cadences across UNFI and Mable stakeholders.
• Serve as the single point of accountability for operational readiness and execution quality across initiatives.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate execution across Merchandising, Pricing, Finance, Supplier Management, Customer Service, Technology, and Mable operations teams.
• Ensure handoffs between teams are clearly defined, documented, and operationally viable.
• Proactively surface risks, bottlenecks, and misalignment to leadership with clear mitigation plans.
Marketplace Readiness & Controls
• Own launch readiness checklists for new suppliers, items, and marketplace capabilities, validating accuracy of pricing logic, freight assumptions, compliance requirements, order flow, and invoicing processes.
• Partner with Finance and Technology to ensure invoice generation, EDI feeds, system integrations, and reconciliation processes function as designed.
• Ensure operational processes align with UNFI's audit, compliance, and data-retention standards.
Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement
• Document end-to-end workflows, SOPs, and operational playbooks to support scale and reduce dependency on manual intervention.
• Identify systemic operational issues and lead root-cause analysis and remediation efforts.
• Support training and enablement of Marketplace Specialists and cross-functional partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience:
• 3-5+ years of experience in project management, marketplace operations, ecommerce operations, or complex cross-functional program delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Experience working with PIM systems or marketplace platforms.
• High proficiency in project planning tools, spreadsheets, and documentation
Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities
• Experience supporting marketplace, drop-ship, or multi-vendor ecommerce models.
• Familiarity with financial workflows, invoicing, or EDI-supported operations.
• Experience working with third-party technology or platform partners.
