Associate Attorney - Litigation
Location: Fully Remote (California)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client, a well-established and growing law firm, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its California litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment while enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer, strategic thinker, and self-starter who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and high-quality legal work.
What You'll Do
  • Manage a litigation caseload involving secured lending, title disputes, foreclosure-related matters, and other civil litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, legal memoranda, and client correspondence.
  • Analyze new matters, develop litigation strategies, and prepare case budgets.
  • Review title documents, foreclosure files, and related legal documentation.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients in court throughout California.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and internal team members.
  • Provide timely case updates and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing priorities.
What We're Looking For
  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 2+ years of litigation experience; experience with mortgage servicing, foreclosure, creditors' rights, or title litigation is highly preferred.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience drafting dispositive motions, discovery, and other litigation documents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Outstanding communication and client service skills.
