• Conduct thorough assessments during crisis intervention, utilizing de-escalation techniques and determining when to engage public mental health crisis response teams.
• Collaborate with team members to formulate comprehensive follow-up assessments and prevention strategies post-crisis, ensuring continuous care and coordination with outside agencies.
• Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records in compliance with contractual obligations and billing requirements, including the timely submission of encounter forms on a weekly basis.
• Engage actively in weekly clinical team meetings to promote integrated care, sharing insights and developing plans that address both primary and mental health needs.
• Provide counseling services rooted in evidence-based practices tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health disorders.
• Utilize advanced case management software to track patient progress and integrate treatment plans seamlessly within our health system.

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health services to a diverse and often underserved population. This includes individuals facing socio-economic challenges, cultural barriers, and varying degrees of health literacy. Your expertise in culturally competent care will be essential in fostering trust and ensuring effective communication with all clients.

• A Master’s degree in counseling or a related field is required.
• An active California state license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience within mental health counseling is essential.
• A thorough understanding of evidence-based therapeutic practices for treating depression and other mental health disorders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital healthcare documentation systems are necessary.

• Experience in a clinical setting that serves disadvantaged populations.
• Background in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management.
