Job description

Position Overview

Freedom and Wellness Counseling, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist, holding an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC designation, to join our dedicated team in a remote capacity. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of clients, particularly mothers and marginalized community members, by delivering evidence-based mental health care through telehealth services.

About the Organization

At Freedom and Wellness Counseling, Inc., our mission is to enhance the mental and emotional wellbeing of individuals and families through inclusive and equitable mental health services. We pride ourselves on understanding the socioeconomic factors that influence mental health and aim to mitigate barriers to access for underserved populations in Roseburg, Oregon, and surrounding areas. Our team is passionate about community health and committed to advancing the future of behavioral healthcare.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to create a work-life balance while remaining dedicated to your clients' needs. As part of our telehealth facility, you will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, utilizing state-of-the-art electronic health record systems to ensure seamless communication and documentation. Freedom and Wellness values a positive work culture that promotes professional growth, teamwork, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V (DSM V) standards to formulate accurate mental health diagnoses.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that adhere to evidence-based practices, ensuring therapy is tailored to the unique needs of each client.
  • Deliver cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to individuals, families, and groups, adapting interventions to fit various settings and circumstances as needed.
  • Respond to clients in crisis by swiftly assessing their needs and facilitating access to essential services.
  • Leverage therapeutic models such as behavior modification and brief therapy throughout counseling sessions to enhance client outcomes.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to Mental Health Workers and therapy assistants, fostering professional development within the team.
  • Collaborate with community professionals to develop cross-system treatment plans, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Conduct training sessions on clinical topics tailored to team members, enhancing our collective knowledge and skill set.
  • Perform intake assessments, complete Integrated Biopsychosocial Assessments, and manage complex cases that require advanced clinical intervention.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse clientele, with a particular emphasis on mothers and individuals from marginalized backgrounds. Our clients often face unique challenges related to socioeconomic circumstances, and your understanding of these issues will be crucial in guiding them towards improved mental wellness.

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An independent mental health license, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC, granted in the state of Oregon.
  • Exceptional ability to manage a substantial caseload while effectively cooperating with large provider networks and support staff.
  • A strong commitment to positively influencing lives through impactful behavioral care.
  • Proficient use of electronic medical records software for efficient documentation and client management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in an electronic format.
  • Solid computer skills familiar with a range of Windows applications.
  • An understanding of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is highly valued.
Preferred Experience

Priority will be given to candidates possessing training in evidence-based practices, along with relevant experience in delivering mental health services tailored to diverse populations. Having practical knowledge of community resources and working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and professional liability coverage. Employees will also have access to an employee assistance program providing vital mental health support.
