Job description

Title : Cloud Engineer 
Location : Remote 
Type : Fulltime 
Responsibilities:

We are seeking a cloud engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will work 100% remotely and focus on cloud migration, operations and engineering, including the migration and provisioning of services, operational monitoring, and incident response. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS services, DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and Cloud security. This role will play a critical part in migrating on-premises enterprise applications to AWS, building and running DevSecOps pipelines, and ensuring the security and compliance of enterprise workloads. A candidate is expected to have broad experience across cloud infrastructure resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize cloud-native architecture using AWS services.
  • Lead migration of complex, large-scale on-premises enterprise applications to AWS with minimal downtime.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with embedded security checks.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, Ansible).
  • Integrate automated testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance enforcement into DevOps workflows.
  • Evaluate and operationalize cloud services, tools, and technologies.
  • Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and tools to control
  • user permissions and access to cloud environments.
  • Monitoring Cloud overall health and addressing/identifying issues and addressing with the cloud services team and/or cloud customers to resolve.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience
  • Five (5) years of preferred experience in cloud technologies, including Amazon Web Services
  • (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or other public cloud services, with an emphasis on AWS experience
  • Strong experience in writing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (e.g. CloudFormation,
  • Terraform, CDK) to provision cloud infrastructure
  • Two (2) years of experience preferred with Python or a similar cloud scripting language.
  • One (1) cloud certification preferred at the associate level or higher in AWS
  • Hands-on experience with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docket, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with a breadth of cloud infrastructure resources
  • Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and similar toolsets for workflow management
  • Experience with SolarWinds, Splunk, and similar tools for logging and monitoring
  • Candidate must hold or be able to obtain Public Trust.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional
