Job description

Remote Systems Engineer - Next-Gen Combat Aircraft Program
[About the Role]
Join a pioneering remote team developing the future of combat aircraft and cutting-edge test infrastructure. As a Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary experts, drive digital engineering initiatives, and play a key role in shaping advanced aerospace solutions. This is your chance to take a leadership position in an exciting program, supporting national defense and innovation from anywhere in the U.S.
[Responsibilities]
- Drive system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE tools (SysML, Cameo) to define interfaces and functions across domains
- Develop and update Statements of Work, conduct impact analyses, and manage changes with customers and leadership
- Ensure alignment and clear communication within teams, suppliers, and clients; identify and resolve obstacles collaboratively
- Support implementation of MBSE within a robust digital engineering ecosystem
- Plan and execute verification, certification, and acceptance test efforts (lab, ground, flight)
- Develop and review cross-discipline systems engineering deliverables in partnership with engineering teams
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience in systems engineering, including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, validation
- Proficiency with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Cameo/MSOSA, SysML
- Proven track record developing deliverables requiring coordination across multiple engineering disciplines
- Experience with verification, certification, or acceptance test planning and execution
[Preferred Skills]
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience developing or managing program baselines
- Prior leadership in system architecture or lead systems engineering roles for complex aerospace vehicles
- Strong communication skills in articulating architectural tradeoffs to stakeholders
- Background in engineering analyses such as affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, and system security
- Familiarity with RIO and TPM management, technical review planning and execution
