We are growing and looking for people who want to build something meaningful alongside us.About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and own the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role - you will work directly with the CEO and have real ownership across month-end close, financial reporting, tax compliance, banking, and SAP administration.The CEO will work closely with you during onboarding and ongoing, providing context on the business and supporting your ramp. This is an opportunity to grow into a senior finance role in a fast-moving tech company, with direct exposure to executive leadership and the full financial picture of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Month-End Close Own the full month-end close cycle including journal entries, revenue accruals, depreciation, and deferred revenue reconciliation Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis Prepare and maintain monthly SaaS P&L, KPI reporting, and the rolling financial plan Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for our banking partner (ATB) and support India entity reporting Analyze financial data and surface meaningful insights for leadership Banking & Payments Manage weekly payment runs and daily banking activities Maintain cash flow forecasting and AR inflow tracking Tax Compliance Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly tax remittances (payroll tax, GST/HST, provincial taxes) Monitor CRA correspondence and coordinate with external tax advisors as needed Support government grant applications and annual compliance filings (EDC, insurance, SR&ED) alongside the operations team Year-End & Audit Prepare annual audit materials and serve as the day-to-day contact with external auditors Complete year-end activities including software capitalization, intercompany reconciliations, and banking projections Systems & Operations Administer and maintain financial records in SAP, including GL accounts, cost centres, and vendor/customer setup Participate in ERP testing and process improvement initiatives for our Rio platform What We Are Looking ForRequired CPA designation (preferred) or actively pursuing CPA - candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience including full-cycle month-end close and bank reconciliations Solid working knowledge of GAAP and Canadian tax compliance (payroll taxes, GST/HST, provincial remittances) Proven experience managing core accounting functions: AR, AP, GL, and reconciliations Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple monthly deadlines independently Comfortable working in a small team with a high degree of ownership Preferred Hands-on SAP experience (SAP is central to this role - prior SAP users will ramp significantly faster) Experience supporting or coordinating an external audit engagement Familiarity with SaaS metrics: ARR, MRR, deferred revenue Experience with ERP systems, including testing, data validation, or chart of accounts work Prior experience in a technology or professional services environment Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience
