Assignment Type: Contract Only

Role Overview:
We are seeking a junior to mid-level DLP Analyst to support a high-impact cybersecurity operations team. This role focuses on analyzing and triaging data loss prevention alerts, investigating potential risks, and partnering with business and security teams to strengthen data protection practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and triage DLP alerts across email, endpoint, and cloud environments
- Investigate potential data loss incidents, including user behavior and data context
- Distinguish true vs. false positives and escalate risks appropriately
- Document findings and maintain accurate case records
- Support incident response efforts for confirmed data loss events
- Identify trends, patterns, and recurring risk behaviors
- Recommend improvements to DLP rules, controls, and processes
- Partner with stakeholders to map data flows and identify risk points
- Assist with DLP projects including rule tuning, documentation, and metrics tracking
- Collaborate across security, risk, and governance teams
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, data protection, risk, fraud, or a related analytical role
- Experience analyzing alerts, incidents, or case-based workflows
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with DLP tools or security monitoring platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with data classification and sensitive data types (preferred)
- Exposure to SIEM, SOAR, or case management tools (preferred)
- Basic understanding of business process mapping or workflow analysis (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits: The pay rate for this position is between $30.00 and $46.20 per hour. Please note that the final rate may be contingent on experience and other factors.
