Seaside Counseling and Assessment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. In this full-time remote role, you will play a crucial part in supporting individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, through evidence-based therapeutic practices. As an LMFT, you will be instrumental in developing personalized treatment plans and fostering a supportive environment that promotes healing and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative care practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research findings and treatment innovations to enhance therapeutic practices.

  • Advocate for the needs of your clients and work to destigmatize mental health issues within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on clients struggling with mood disorders. This includes a wide range of individuals, from those experiencing situational depression to those managing chronic conditions like bipolar disorder. A significant aspect of your work may involve providing critical support to marginalized groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your efforts will help these clients navigate their mental health challenges and empower them on their journey to recovery.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients.
  • Exhibit a deep sense of empathy, support, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences.
  • Possess strong organizational and time-management abilities to ensure efficient workload management.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
